Bow Falls

Bow Falls brings the sightseeing route closer to the Bow River. Step outside, take photographs and enjoy the area before continuing when you're ready. Because this is a private itinerary, there is no requirement to stay for a predetermined amount of time simply because a group-tour schedule says so.

Tunnel Mountain Scenic Viewpoints

The Tunnel Mountain area provides another perspective over Banff and the Bow Valley. Depending on conditions and available time, appropriate viewpoints can be incorporated while travelling between other sightseeing stops. The exact route can change with weather, traffic, seasonal access and your priorities.

Lake Minnewanka

Lake Minnewanka is one of the stops where guests often choose to use more of their available sightseeing time. The lake and surrounding mountain landscape provide a very different setting from the Banff townsite. You may want a short photography stop, or you may decide this is where you'd rather spend a larger portion of the tour. The itinerary can adjust accordingly.

Two Jack Lake

When access and conditions allow, Two Jack Lake fits naturally with the Lake Minnewanka portion of the sightseeing route. It adds another mountain-and-water setting without requiring a separate long-distance journey away from the main Banff experience.

Time in Downtown Banff

Not every part of your sightseeing day needs to be viewed through the vehicle window. Time can also be incorporated in downtown Banff for walking along Banff Avenue, photographs, shopping, coffee or independent exploration. Guests already staying in Banff may also arrange to finish the tour downtown rather than returning immediately to their hotel.

Starting from Your Banff Hotel

If you're already staying in Banff, your chauffeur can collect you directly from your hotel. This provides the greatest amount of sightseeing within the standard five-hour booking because there is no Calgary-to-Banff journey at the beginning of the service.

Coming from Calgary? Make the Journey Part of the Experience

Red Mile Limousine Services can also arrange private Banff sightseeing for guests starting in Calgary. For Calgary departures, the mountain experience can begin before reaching Banff.

Where road and access conditions allow, the outbound journey can travel west on Highway 1, turn through the Mînî Thnî/Morley area, connect with Highway 1A, and continue toward Exshaw and Canmore before proceeding to Banff. Instead of travelling Highway 1 in both directions, this creates a more varied approach into the Rockies. For a Calgary round trip, the return normally follows the more direct Highway 1 eastbound.

Routing may be adjusted according to weather, road conditions or access on the day.

For pre-arranged airport reservations, flight information supplied with the booking is monitored to help coordinate pickup when arrival times change. Because luggage remains with you, provide the number of passengers, suitcases, strollers, child-seat requirements and any ski or snowboard equipment before the vehicle is assigned. For visitors with limited time in Banff, this can make the arrival day part of the vacation rather than simply a transfer between YYC and the hotel. How Red Mile Limousine Services Plans Five Hours

From our experience transporting visitors through Banff and the Canadian Rockies, trying to fit too many places into a short sightseeing window can take the enjoyment out of the day. We would rather help guests create a realistic route with enough time to experience several worthwhile places than turn private sightseeing into a rush between viewpoints.

Starting location makes a major difference. Five hours beginning at a Banff hotel provides considerably more time within Banff than five hours beginning in Calgary or at YYC. Weather, traffic, season, children, attraction reservations and the amount of time you want outside the vehicle can also affect what comfortably fits.

Add the Banff Gondola

The Banff Gondola at Sulphur Mountain can be incorporated when sufficient time is available. A Gondola visit requires meaningful time, so it is better treated as one of the day's main experiences rather than squeezed between several scenic stops.

If you've already purchased timed Gondola tickets, provide the reservation time when arranging your sightseeing service. Red Mile Limousine Services can then plan the transportation portion of the itinerary around it. Banff Gondola admission tickets are not included.

Add Cave and Basin

Guests interested in Banff's history may choose to spend part of the tour at Cave and Basin National Historic Site. A proper attraction visit requires more time than a short photography stop. If Cave and Basin is important to you, reducing the number of other sightseeing stops may create a better five-hour experience.
